Silverlight viewer and static tokens with secure basemaps

Hi,

I'm having a strange issue with using the Silverlight viewer with the secure ESRI UK datahub services at https://datahub.esriuk.com/ArcGIS/rest. I've configured https://datahub.esriuk.com/ArcGIS/rest/services/GB_Background/OS_StreetView_raster/MapServer as basemap within the viewer application and added a token to the Map.xml to allow access to the secured service. The app loads ok and the token is correctly used against the specific map service, but it appears that the client is also making a number of other requests to the arcgis service without the token. These requests seem to be causing a login prompt to appear. If you click cancel, the app is perfectly happy and requests tiles from the secured service using the token with out problems.

Any suggestions on how i avoid this situation? This issue occurs in both IE9 and IE8. It also seems to happen with any secured service, not just datahub.

Any suggestions much appreciated. I don't really want to use a proxy to get round this.

David
