Hello,

I recently switched from arcgis server 10 to 10.1 and so I had to remake the services I use in the flex viewer. After I remade them I expected to be able to add them right back to my config file and work but this is not the case. Instead I just get a white screen. I don't get errors about the layers not being able to load and they even show up in the table of contents.

Anyone know what might be going on here?

here is the link to my map in case that helps.

http://radfordgis.radford.va.us/flexmap3.0/flexviewer/index.html

Thanks,

Chris

Chris,

So the link that works for me (a person out site of your firewall and intranet) is :

http://radfordgis.radford.va.us/arcgiscloud/rest/services

So you need to change all your url in your main config.xml to use that url if you want your viewer to be publicly accessible.
you main config.xml currently hase basemaps, Aerial Photos 2011, and Bus Routes and Stops using other urls.

Can you run Fiddler whiling trying to view the website to determine any errors?

Chris,

Did you setup the web adaptor on the server? Normally your urls in 10.1 will have http://radfordgis.radford.va.us:6080/arcgis/rest/ if you are not using the web adaptor or some other reverse proxy. Your issue is that neither of these urls work.

http://radfordgis.radford.va.us:6080/arcgis/rest/
http://radfordgis.radford.va.us/arcgis/rest/

Robert,

Thanks for the help, I did set up the web adapter on the server during the install. I looked at the two urls you posted and the first one worked for me http://radfordgis.radford.va.us:6080/arcgis/rest/ however the second did not.

I'm a little bit confused because right now I have three urls that all take me to the rest services directory

http://radford-gis.radford.va.us/arcgiscloud/rest/services
http://radfordgis.radford.va.us/arcgiscloud/rest/services
http://radfordgis.radford.va.us:6080/arcgis/rest/services

When I set up the web adapter I changed arcgis to arcgiscloud (not sure why I changed it the guy helping me with the instal recommended it)

I thought that my map might also not be working because I didn't have a geometry service so I made that and put it in the map but that didn't fix it either.

Thanks again for your help,

Chris

Robert,

Thanks I'll mark that as correct but I can't actually verify that right now I'm getting an error when I go to my viewer. All I see is a loading bar and #2046 at the bottom of my page. I'll start a new post about that.

Thanks,
