ArcGIS Pro 2.6: What is the best way to represent the asset type of a utility network feature class?

I’m not sure about the best way to represent the asset type of a utility network feature class.

For example, in the screenshot below, the water line feature class is symbolized according its asset group field that contains a list of (L1, L2, L3). Now, how the asset type can be represented?

"Asset Group" field in UN model is a subtype field for the feature class. So when you add the feature class to Pro map, it will use that field to create Unique Values renderer. You can publish this map as a UN service without changing the symbology. Then add this service's UN layer to another map in Pro. This will also add individual feature classes such Device, Line and Junction into the map. You have two options after, one is you can create three separate layers of WaterLine, one for each asset group value by applying a definition query such as "assetgroup=1", "assetgroup=2" and so forth. Then you can specify a renderer based on "assettype" field. Other option is to use multi column unique value renderer based on assetgroup field at level 1 and assettype field at level 2. It will give all combinations of assetgroup and assettype field values and you can specify symbology for each combination.
