Parcel Layer Symbology/Style

I was wondering if it is possible to change the symbology / style of an individual layer / data source in an urban project? I have a parcel line layer that I've added but the lines are too dark/thick and when viewed are obscuring and making it difficult to distinguish other layers / information. I would like to just make them thinner and lighter. I've attached a example of what the parcels look like now for reference.

Hi Aurust,

Thank you for your question. You are able to change a layers symbology by opening it in a map or scene viewer. From there you can select the layer and change symbiology's such as line thickness, opacity and color. Unfortunately editing the symbology for a parcel-specific layer will not translate in ArcGIS Urban.

However, you are still able to change the symbology of a layer and add it to ArcGIS Urban as a context scene, here is the documentation: https://doc.arcgis.com/en/urban/help/help-projects-design-context-layers.htm - Please note this will not work for a parcel layer.

I've also attached additional documentation on design symbology within ArcGIS Online: https://learn.arcgis.com/en/projects/design-symbology-for-a-thematic-map/arcgis-online/

Hope this helps!

Hi @Aurust

I'd like to add two things to Brenden's answer:

  1. We are currently revisiting the parcel's symbology in Urban and try to improve it for the next release (thinner lines).
  2. For presentation purposes, you can consider exporting the plan scenario to web scene. In the scene viewer, you have a variety of options to style your layers according to your preference.
