Can you conduct a wind and sun/shade analysis at the same time in ArcGIS Urban?

I am trying to assess the comfort level of buildings that are massed in ArcGIS Urban based on their wind and sun/shade exposure. Is there a way for me to do that?

Hey OghenemaroAustin-Igbuku,

That is a great question! As of right now, you're able to do shadowcast analysis in Urban, by going down to the Analysis tools at the bottom left (attached image), and the first option you have (should be also in that same screenshot) runs the shadow analysis, where you can identify areas above a certain threshold, check discreet shadows, and understand total shadow duration. Now for things like wind analysis and solar radiation and the like, that is not available in Urban, however I'm adding this as a ticket to be potentially added in an upcoming release. Thanks for the idea!

Thanks for note on the different aspects of the shadow analysis tool. Is there a way to use the results of the shadow analysis for a parcel suitability analysis or a sort of comfort metric?

Also, I found this Airflow analyst tool that is available as an add in for ArcGIS Pro, do you know if this can be integrated with ArcGIS Urban as a scene layer or something? Environmental GIS Laboratory - Airflow Analyst (esri.com)
