Hello everyone,

Quick question on survey123 attachment!. Does anyone know if is possible to download previously capture images to the inbox and view the photos offline?. I'm using the 'multiline' appearance method. I can see the images on the inbox if I am online but it won't show up offline. I know attachment on inbox was not supported before (using repeat). Do we have the same limitation for 'multiline' appearance?

I just came back across this and was wondering if you might be able to use the repeat query of "allowAdds", but do not use the "query" for new photos.

Then you could add a series of "note" questions that have "bind::esri:fieldType" parameter set to "null". Then use these new "note" questions to reference a "representative" image of the asset from the Survey form's "media" folder to let the user see what the asset looks like?

This would prevent deletion of the previous records/photos, allow for additional photos for new visits, gives the end user a representative photo for comparing, end user wouldn't see photos when online, and not have them download every single photo taken of the asset when working offline that will help with syncing issues.

I am unsure if this would be applicable to your survey or workflow but might a way to allow for just one field application.

Thanks @MichaelBruening. In our scenario fieldworker 1 is uploading the first photo, fieldworker 2 needs to be able to see it, add a second photo, but not delete the original. There is no static original image of the asset. We also have a lot of assets and wouldn't want to fill the media folder with a photo of all of them.

The only technical way this works is to use one or more related tables with adds enabled. This lets users in the field add/view new records (and their photos) without giving access to delete other records or photos. The records/photos are also available in field Maps, and experience builder using the list widget linked by parentglobalid.

However it doesn't allow us to do the before/after photo on the one record. Makes tracking work completion difficult.

It also doesn't allow users in Survey123 to take the photos offline. Have to use field Maps. Just a hindrance to our form-centric workflows that don't need a map at all.
