Survey123 or Collector without Portal

I'm wondering if there is any work-around to allow the use of Survey123 or Collector without having ArcGIS Online or a Portal connected to an ArcGIS Server?

We have an ArcGIS Server which hosts services used in a custom web app and we have an Active Directory to manage users. Therefore we don't need the Portal as such. 

However, it would be great to connect ArcGIS Server services to use in Survey123 or Collector. From reading the docs it seems like this is not possible - can anyone confirm that?

Hi. This is to confirm that it is not possible to use Survey123 without an ArcGIS portal. This is also the case for other ArcGIS apps: Indoors, QuickCapture, Navigator, Collector, Explorer, etc.
