Hi dear ESRI Community,

I am new at survey123, I know how to create a survey using the Survey123 site (inside our ESRI Enterpise solution, not on ArcGis Online) , also I know how to create an Enterprise Geodatabase and I have all permissions needed to do it. I have been reading some ESRI sites that are related but not straight forward.

My question is:

Is it possible to save the data obtained by the survey123 directly in an enterprise Geo Database?

if it is possible, do you know a tutorial that I can follow ? or can you help me achieve this?

I am in a dead end at this momment.

Thank you in advance.

I don't think that is possible. Portal can host your surveys. The survey results are sent to arcgis.com which is linked back to your portal. So the whole set-up is only semi-on-site.

I could be wrong on this, but that is how we have ours set-up. I also investigated the potential of hosting data locally as you described for reasons loosely related to data security and client requirements. After many talks with esri, we decided that the current set-up was not a great enough risk to justify concern, and also that our client's would accept the current set-up (from a security point of view).

Thank you for your reply,

How do you access the main table of your surveys? are you able to export it to a table format so you can back it up local on your servers?

You can export the data from the Data tab in various formats as a back-up, if you would like (see attachment).

The short answer is yes.

Publish the data you want to collect with Survey123 from your Enterprise Geodatabase as a feature service. Create your Survey123 forms in Connect using the published feature service instead of allowing S123 to create a hosted feature service.

There are several steps needed to get your eneterprise gdb data usable (add spatial index) but it works great.
