Survey 123 Missed Placed Points

I’ve been using Survey123 to track our Lead Service Line inventory, and I recently noticed an issue. Some of the data collected by the team using the app does not appear at the actual inspection address. Instead, all the points are showing up around our office location.

Our town does have some cell connectivity challenges with several dead zones, but I assumed that once the inventory was collected and the device connected to Wi-Fi, the points would sync to the correct inspection location.

If these points are stuck at my office location, is there an easy way to relocate them to the correct addresses? Or will I need to start an edit session and manually drag each point to its proper location on the map?

My gut tells me I’ll need to do the manual edits, but I’m hoping there’s a faster solution. Any advice or tips would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance for your help!

Todd

To prevent this in the future, make sure you have a required "geopoint" question in your form with the "press-to-locate" appearance, that forces your users to confirm a location themselves. It won't guarantee you won't get points dumped on an office but it'll minimize it to easily correctable situations. As for the backlog, if you have an address entered with each point you can dig into the various geocoding workflows to update the location (credits permitting) otherwise it's time to bite the bullet and fix those points yourself.

After the inventory is complete and they select the check mark the survey automatically collects a geopoint which should save at the location of the inventory. Not sure why some are not getting collected at the correct property address.

Thankfully there are only about 100.

I'll have to manually relocate.

Thanks for the help,

They are probably preopening the forms in the office before they go out knowing there may not be signal.  I would track down the users where you see this and ask them.
Also make sure they are not wifi only iPads.
