I have created a Microsoft Word report template, within I am trying to tag my map "_map"(named by default). This is the tag that Bing Chat suggested: ${_map | map}, but when I try to upload the report template I get this Error: An error occurred when checking the report template. Failed to parse ${_map | map} since missing required parameter for the drawingInfo method.

How to resolve, please?

These are good sources. Is "_map" the name of a geopoint/geoshape question in your survey or is it the name of a webmap?

If "_map" is a geopoint/geoshape question in your survey you can call it using ${_map} which just plops the feature on a map. If "_map" is the name of the webmap, you need to look at your survey and grab the question name and use that to get started.

If you have a webmap that you want displayed behind your geopoint/geoshape question you call it using map:"map ID". You can find your map id by going to the map in AGOL and looking on the Overview tab.

Assuming "_map" still is the name of the question in your survey, it would look something like this ${_map | map:"abc1234def5678ghjk90"}

This works for me when my geopoint is in a repeat, replace with your actual repeat name/geopoint name and map id:

Wow, have really enjoyed, as a non-techie, this conversation.  I got lost quickly, but then spent an hour going through other posts, and was rewarded by the depth of knowledge presented.   Currently working on health related surveys in rural communities of Kenya, so finding these conversations very valuable.
