Hi!

Currently developing a Accident Report Form in Survey123 Connect and was wondering if there is a way for a user to re-submit an existing survey. Ultimately, if an employee submits a Accident Report through Survey123, would a supervisor be able to be notified and review that initial survey and answer all the supervisory question for approval/review?

Thank you,

Steven K

Hi @SteveKim1,

Yes, this is possible using the Inbox feature in the Survey123 field app, which can be configured for the survey in Survey123 Connect. The Inbox allows querying and opening existing surveys from the feature layer, and allows the user to edit the survey. You can use different workflows and configurations in the survey, to ensure they only see or edit the fields that need to be. Please refer to following documentation:

You may also want to search the Esri Community posts, as many users have asked and had discussion around asset inspection workflows and using the Inbox, which have many helpful ideas and way to make the most of editing existing data via the Inbox.

In the upcoming 3.14 release, we are adding support for calculationModes which also assist with asset inspection workflows if you are using calculations in survey and do not want them to run when opening a survey from the Inbox, or you do want them to always run, this can not be configured with 3.14.

We will be releasing a blog post regarding asset inspection workflows in the near future after the 3.14 release, which will have much of this information all in one place, so keep an eye out for that.

Regards,

Phil.
