Hi there, I'm fairly new to using ESRI products, so there may be a simple solution to my problem I've overlooked.
I'm trying to make a map that will be useful to a field team making decisions about priority locations to visit. The field team regularly visits several hundred fixed points on a landscape to collect data and do a variety of tasks. I want to add all of the existing data for these points to the map with a csv that I have. I want some of these fields to be updated with the newest entry from a specific survey123's field for that particular point. So for example I have site name and several fields. Some but not all of these fields should be updated when the fields are displayed when a user clicks on the point in the map. So if someone submits a form that says that site is in poor condition, I want the condition field to change but not the land owner if there was no new land owner information added.
I also want to create a few other layers from the input of other survey 123 forms that have different symbology to signify different things we still have to do at the survey point. (For example, if the site needs maintenance a hammer appears there in that layer, if the site needs to be surveyed a pair of binoculars appears etc).
How do I connect existing data to survey 123 submissions and how do I specify that some fields should always be updated with the newest survey 123 submission in the display?
Thanks in advance.

Field Maps may be a good fit for kicking off this workflow.

Sounds a lot like Field Maps.
I want some of these fields to be updated with the newest entry
Yep, Field Maps.
You can "make a map" in Portal (upload your CSV to make a Feature Layer, then make a map from that FL). Then lay Field Maps over top of that map. Then, you can use Field Maps to either collect basic data, or launch into S123 for real data collection.
You can ignore Field Maps and do this entirely in S123 as well (I personally do for a few similar workflows because it makes more sense in my case). In that case, I'd recommend looking into the Inbox feature. It is incredibly helpful for these types of workflows. If you choose to go without Field Maps, that doesn't change much. Still upload your CSV to make a FL. But then head into Survey123 Connect > + New survey > Feature services > search for your newly created FL.
Hi @KateSweet , you can create a featureservice from the existing data and in Survey123 Connect you create a form with this featureservice. There you can make fields required and delete not necessary fields in the form. Here are more information about that: https://doc.arcgis.com/en/survey123/desktop/create-surveys/survey123withexistingfeatureservices.htm#...
