My Survey123 (created in Connect) reports are not displaying an image (a user's signature); it shows up blank when reports are generated, and no possible fixes have worked so far. This survey has been working properly for the past 5 years up until recently. Thankfully, we're still receiving submissions.
The template syntax that worked previously is: ${image}.
Has an Esri update introduced a new bug? And are there any potential workarounds for this issue?
Esri has escalated the issue and we're waiting to hear further.
Considering it was already working and then stopped, I don't really have any solid fixes. Sounds like it may be a bug, but you've already started the Esri support case (which I would otherwise have recommended).
As far as I am aware, no updates have recently been pushed (I think early May was the last?). Personally, my images still seem to be coming through.
If you haven't already, I'd check that Connect was the latest version, then republish the survey and re-upload the Feature Report (even if there are no changes, this can sometimes help). Try again and check if it's working. Alternatively, you can make a copy of the survey and republish it as a brand new FL and see if that works.
Do you know if the images are being uploaded to your Portal? You could always try this syntax:
${#image}${$file}${/}
