Geotag/timestamp on pictures is missing in the browser version

The webapp version of Survey123 is stripping the geotag/timestamp metadata from photos. The real app preserves that metadata. I need the webapp for sharing my project with students and the public. I also need to preserve that metadata on the photos. Is this possible?

It works when I use the app on my smartphone but not when I open the survey in a browser.

Hi Thomas,

This is definitely possible and as long as your browser is allowed access to your location, the photos should still contain location information in the exif metadata. Please share as much information as possible and I'll try to reproduce / troubleshoot. Eg device, OS version, browser, survey (XLSForm if possible) etc.
