Edit existing survey data photos are gone

Using the Inbox Mode where the filter is 

MS4_EMAIL='yes'

but when users go to edit the existing survey the photos from the previous user are gone.

Currently, attachments are not loaded and cannot be updated through the editing/Inbox process.

Are you saying that the image will still be present after the users edit the survey via Inbox? Do I just need to remove the Required=Yes from this field, because currently if I try and submit I cannot because there is no image for the required field?

How then do I get the users who are editing the survey to add a photo to a different image field? Currently the image field for the section of the Inbox editors is blank.

Hi Carl,

Yes, the image still has been submitted and will remain as an attachment after editing. For an editing workflow you would not want an image question be required.  We do not support adding an image as part of editing, even for questions that do not already have an image (there is an exception for adding a new record in a repeat section).
