Is there a way to change or reset the "Home" geopoint location in a Survey123 Connect survey?

I have a survey for a university department they are having the public use Survey123 to collect data at two different campuses.  Up to now our geopoint question has been "homed" to campus #1, but users on campus #2 have complained about not being able to find their current location (apparently they can't hit crosshair button to center the map...).

Is there a way to reset the home location of the geopoint question, or set up a second geopoint question with a different home location?  I could insert a question that asks what campus they are on and then branch to a different geopoint question or reset the home location lat/long values, if this is possible.

Thanks in advance,

Hi Brandon,

Thanks for the ideas, but I found a better way to do what I wanted.  There is a sample in the Survey123 Connect app titled "Calculate Location from Choice List" that shows you how to do exactly what I wanted.  I added a "Which campus?" question to my survey and put the lat/long values for the two locations in the "name" field on the choices tab, then added a concatenate function on the "Calculation" field on my geopoint survey question to pre-fill the geopoint so that the question starts at the correct location.

Whew!

Hi Allen,

You can update the Home Location by changing it in the Settings > Map in Survey123 Connect and republishing the survey.  The submitters would then have to download the survey again, to reflect the change.

Another option would be to create another survey based off of an exiting feature service using Survey123 Connect which will represent the second campus.  In the map settings for this survey you can set the Home Location to the second campus and provide the share link to those who will be at that campus.

Best,

Brandon
