Can I re-publish a survey when a new field has been added to a repeat section?

I am trying to add a new field ("distinct check") to an existing feature service but the new field is in a repeat section.

I believe this is a known limitation of Survey123.  Does anyone know how I can add the new field to the feature service and maintain all the data that has already been collected?

Thanks!

xlsx form is attached.

Yep this is a known issue.  Trick is to just add a dummy field outside the repeat.  Then publish, then delete the dummy, then publish again.

I tried doing that, but then only the dummy field was added to my feature service and I got an error about the repeat field.  Any chance you have an example?

Hi Lauren,

You can add the new field directly via the rest end point or the data tab on the item details in your content in ArcGIS Online or Portal. If you modify the schema at the feature service level, instead of trying to do it via Survey123 Connect, and then just simply add that new field to your survey xlsx form with the same name, and it will see the new field and work as expected.

Phil.
