Hey all,

Disclaimer: I am beginner/intermediate and self-taught.

Is it possible to use the answer from a geopoint question to auto populate another location based question, such as the County someone is in? If so, do I need more than a feature layer of the counties?

If I have missed the answer in the help documents/blog posts, please let me know!

Much thanks

Yes, it can! If you're using Survey123 Connect, that is. And no, you don't need anything besides the service URL of a Counties feature layer, many of which can be found publicly.

Take a look at this post: https://community.esri.com/t5/arcgis-survey123-blog/survey123-tricks-of-the-trade-pulldata-quot-laye...

Just use getValueAt in your calculation column and follow the examples in that post.

Adding to @jcarlson 's response, you can also calculate the County name using the web designer. Check out this video for more details: https://community.esri.com/t5/arcgis-survey123-videos/what-s-new-in-arcgis-survey123-december-2022/m...

Oh, nice! I use S123 Connect so much, the updates to the web designer sometimes slip past me. This is great!

Thanks for the info Ismael! I'll likely use web designer for my simpler surveys, so this is wonderful to know.
