Hello, GIS comrades,
I need to build a fairly simple Survey123 application for my coworkers, but I'm not clear on the best way to accomplish what I want to do. In my survey form, I need to include a few fairly high resolution images preferably saved within the app itself. I can scale the images back to be about a MB or a bit less. I don't want them as 'background'; I want them as the leading feature on a few Survey123 pages, each of which has inspection related questions about the features in each image. I also need users to be able to annotate the images for each survey entry as annotated. Can I / How would I best configure this? I can work out how to do this with images that are loaded from the device each time, but that's not terribly desirable. If I embed the image, it seems I cannot annotate it. (Unless I'm missing a detail somewhere?) I have been using predominately 123 Connect, a solution in Designer or Connect is fine by me. Advice?

If you set the default column to an image in the media folder, when you click annotate in the survey, you will be able to annotate that image. Furthermore, if you set media::image to that same image, it will display the unaltered version of that image:

Another couple useful things you can set for annotation:
palette=Style, you can use custom pallets now, which can make some jobs much easier.
method=camera, browse, map, you can set the image's sources. Probably not something you need to set here. Fun fact though--if you specify a default image, it adds that to the list for you automatically:
previewHeight=0, shows your image at maximum resolution for the screen:

Thank you! Thank you for the speedy solution. I thought this had to be do-able. I tried it out, and it's just what I needed.
