Good day. We have a Survey123 form with many fields, more than 200. We have been using one Survey123 form since 2023 up to today and we currently have more than 18,8K records. When we edit the data in Survey123 Web, it is very slow, sometimes it crushes.

I want to ask what the issue could be and how can we resolve it.

It's probably the survey design or calculations.

Did you publish using Connect? Can you share the xlsform and any lists?

Good day Christopher

Yes, it was published using connect. Unfortunately I cannot share the xlsform because it contains personal details. My issue is that when I try to edit the data on the Survey123 Web, it becomes very slow. So I thought maybe it could be the amount of data stored.

Can you remove the personal details and share the majority of the form?

18.8k records is not a lot. 200 fields is but I still wouldn't necessarily expect a lot of issues as you are describing.

Are you getting crashes editing a single record, or interacting with the entire layer? How does it perform elsewhere like maps, or editing in map viewer?

Have you tried resetting the index as David suggested?

The more information you can share the easier it is for us to narrow down potential reasons

I wonder if rebuilding spatial indexes on the Hosted Feature Layer or field indexes (if not locked-down) might be an option.  I can't see anything recommending it from the docs-side though.

I would perform testing on duplicate data and ensure backup as always however.
