I have a one page grid style form with a geo question. The geo question is used to stream a GPS track while the user is grooming snowmobile trails. I am trying to pilot this program with a local snowmobile club, the users are an older contingent that aren't that comfortable using their smartphones. The app is simple enough for them to use, but it keeps closing unexpectedly. It appears that the debug log has to be turned on every single time the app is opened for it to record, I just learned this so I haven't been able to collect any debug info. I'm wondering where I should start troubleshooting this issue. S123 is up to date. Is there any limit on streaming for Geo questions in the app? So far this is a sample size of 1 with an android device, but hard to get past the initial testing when one user can't even get it to work!
I have tested this on a personal android device and have not had issues.
All I can recommend is ensure that the mobile device is up to date. If they are older/less tech savvy, an out of date device is likely.
Next, is the phone kept warm? E.g., in a pocket? Extreme temperatures + mobile devices never plays well.

Yep. I hate it. I've already requested a change there, but who knows if they will get around to it.
Thanks, that's a good idea. I will check the device for available updates.
It is kept warm, the groomer is heated and has a cigarette lighter for charging.
I have also replicated a similar form in field maps for them to try - that should narrow it down to device vs app.
Honestly, I feel Field Maps may be the better option for that type of data collection regardless. Fingers crossed it works.
You can add limited fields to Field maps for data collection, if needed. Alternatively, you can use URL parameters to go from Field Maps into S123 (and then back into Field Maps) for more detailed data collection.
You might be right. I was integrating this with Power Automate so it made sense to use the S123 trigger there. To be honest, for internal operations, we use Enterprise and we are stuck at 10.9.1 while we try to migrate to Azure and catch up. To enable public collaboration this project is hosted in AGOL and I am just not familiar with everything you can do in Field Maps when it is up to date 😂 So I was able to incorporate all the same functionality into FM and use an different trigger in power automate... the reality of being behind the curve.
we use Enterprise ... while we try to migrate to Azure
Oh man. I know that feeling! We have been doing a corporate migration to Azure for the last few years. As of this year, it is Portal's turn... so much fun 😅
