Currently the 'Smart Shape' drawing tool relies on a user to freehand draw a circle, square or triangle, and then the app will 'smartly' smooth out the shape. This confused me greatly as I thought the app had bugged and was just stuck on freehand. Every shape editing tool since the error of paint would equate a shape tool to seeing a shape on a map, not a freehand and smart realignment.
It's also not great in that a triangle pointing sideways will be 'smartly' converted upright. The user has to then go into edit mode to rotate the triangle, and then back to sketch.
Can we just have a basic shape tool?
I know this seems nit-picky but these UI/UX issues seem to be a massive hurdle for fieldworkers. They're preferring to exit the survey, screenshot google maps, use a simple 'paint' tool to markup the map, then attach the image, over the map annotation question that is setup within the survey. Because the tools are non-intuitive.
