I am hoping that ESRI can provide the ability for Viewer user types in Enterprise GIS to fill in surveys in Survey123 that are shared with "Everyone" in both the web app and the field app. It doesn't make sense that anonymous users can submit surveys while viewers cannot.
It is important to be able to pull in the credentials of the viewers when a survey is submitted. We have hundred of potential users so changing their user type to Field Worker is not an option. Also, adding fields where users have to manually plug in their name/email in an anonymous form is not an option, as the forms need to be as short and simple as possible.
Agree with everyone, FYI I have another Idea submitted for this same request in ArcGIS Online https://community.esri.com/t5/arcgis-survey123-ideas/allow-quot-viewer-quot-accounts-to-submit-inter...
I also submitted this case directly to Esri technical support to see if it can gain more traction and add to other cases if they exist.
Just ran into this issue in my organization, I didn't realize this was a limitation of Survey123.
There are a lot of use cases where we would want organization members to submit surveys that are not available publicly.
We created a feedback survey for our internal users (300 of them) of a web app on portal and shared it to our organization thinking they would be able to fill in the survey. Nope. We don't want all these users to be editors for any other reason. Seems silly to make our organisation survey public. And seems silly to create it outside of GIS as it is connected to our internal GIS Platform. We can do it in Microsoft Forms but we are the GIS team and like to use our technology.
