For multi-server deployment of StreetMap Premium, can the data be loaded in a shared directory instead of loading it on each ArcGIS server in the server group?

Just looking to minimize the footprint of the StreetMap Premium data set (about 60GB for us). It would be better management-wise if it could be loaded into a shared drive that is network-accessible to all the ArcGIS servers involved in the publishing of the services available for consuming the StreetMap Premium data and functionality. It really would be nice.

Hello Oscar and Bill,

You should be able to use a shared network drive to store the StreetMap Premium data. You may want to read this technical article for best practices and considerations when deploying address locators on a shared drive:

FAQ: Best practices for deploying address locators on a network location to avoid locking issues

Keep in mind that each machine accessing the StreetMap Premium data will still need to have a StreetMap Premium data license file (*.sdlic) installed locally. The license file cannot be accessed from a network location.

Hope this helps!
