I created a map in portal showing baker act facilities in florida on a dark gray canvas, one of the standard basemaps. Then when I go to display it in a story map it's just a blank basemap. I've switched to other standard basemaps and it's been the same scenario. Anybody have any ideas?

Mary - Can you verify whether the URL you are using to reference the basemap in the web map is using HTTPS? If it's using HTTP, then it might be getting flagged as insecure content, so it won't display.

Switching the url from https to http has solved my basemap issues. Thanks! 🙂

I'm having a similar issue right now. I created a storymap  that displays one of the ESRI imagery basemaps. I've made the app public and when I view it in a private window, it looks like it's displaying one of the grey basemaps instead. Is there another work around? I tried removing the "s" from "https" in the URL but when I press enter it add it back in.

What it looks like when I'm logged into my AGOL Account:

@SarahRijneke - Can you share a link to the story so we can take a look?
