I'm looking to embed a journal story map into the new story map design template. What font styles are used in the Summit Theme? I'd like to mimic those in the Journal Map

Thanks!

Sarah

The summit theme in the new ArcGIS StoryMaps uses Avenir Next for titles and Noto Serif for the body text.

If you want more info about fonts from other themes, take a look at the font choices in the Design panel's font pairings selector. It lists all of the fonts used in the available themes.

Hi Owen,

It appears the Design panel has changed. Is there another place to find the fonts associated with each theme now? If not, what fonts are associated with the "Slate" theme?

Is there a way to use our own font other than what's available?

@jdcayetano -- When you build your own theme, you can pick from over 1000 fonts that are available through Google Fonts. For more detail, see Create a theme—ArcGIS StoryMaps | Documentation.

If your specific font isn't available via Google Fonts, there are often fonts that are very close. You can search the web for "Google Font alternatives" to your font.

There's not a way to add your own font right now, but we are looking into that. If you're interested in seeing that capability in ArcGIS StoryMaps, I'd recommend posting it to the ideas board.

Hi Owen, when you quote something in the new story map, which font is used?  Like the one you see in the image

Hello -- Quotes use the same font as the titles/headings in your story. If you open the Design panel and look at the Font pairings, the first font shown is the title font.
