A question for ESRI:  Might you give us any idea or potential timeline for a future SpyGlass option for the Swipe options in the StoryMap builder?  We have a client with a Summer 2021 launch and we're really hoping to give them some idea of if this functionality may be on your timeline?  Thanks!

@KatieGaut -- We haven't received many requests to add the spyglass feature to ArcGIS StoryMaps, so we do not have plans to add it at this time. I would suggest that you add an idea to the StoryMaps ideas board so others can upvote it if they also would like to see this. If we see a lot of support for this idea then we can consider adding it in the future.

If your customer is asking for this, you can still create a spyglass app using the classic template and embed that in a story created with ArcGIS StoryMaps.

@OwenGeoHello Owen, u recommended to KatieGaut to embed the link. How long will a spyglass app with the classic template be accessible if its created now?

Thanks Owen!  We have embedded the classic template, but due to the limited configuration options in those older web applications, it looks a bit clunky and out of place.  We've also tried the web app builder spy glass tool as well, but again, it isn't quite as 'clean and polished' as we would like.  We will keep experimenting with options that may work better for our client.  Thanks again Owen!

@KatieGaut - Not sure if this will help making things cleaner, but did you know you can hide the header for a classic swipe app using the &embed URL parameter? For details see Embed a Story Map within a Story Map (esri.com)
