I created a cascade story map.  Is there a search bar function I can add to this story map so users can search for text within the story map?  If not, does anyone know if this will be available in future updates?  Thank you!

@BethBurkovich - Since a StoryMap is a web page, readers can use the browser search/find feature to search for text on the page.

I'm not sure if you are actually using Cascade or just using the classic name for the scrolling style story you can create with ArcGIS StoryMaps. If you are using Cascade, please be aware Cascade is a classic template that is already in mature support. No further updates are planned for it and it is scheduled to be retired next year.

@OwenGeo thanks so much for replying.  I was thinking the CTRL-F function within the browser could work just as well too, but it would be great if there was an additional widget option for creators to add a search bar  within the story map.  I am using ArcGIS Story Maps and I am not sure if I am using the classic cascade template or not.  If you know how I can check that, please let me know.  I did some searching online and can't seem to find out how I can tell.

If the URL of your story starts with storymaps.arcgis.com, then you are using ArcGIS StoryMaps.
