ArcGIS StoryMaps- Map Float- Issue: Removes Scale Based Layers

Hello StoryMaps Team,

It appears we found an issue with map float.  When a map has be configured to "Float Left" layers that are set to display at a set visibility scale, the float functionality seems to change the display scale and causes layers to not display in the configured map. When changing this from float to a small/med/large map the layers display as they should.

Is this a bug?

Thanks so much,

Hi Amanda,

I have just given this a test, and have not been able to replicate using my own StoryMap/data.

Have you enabled the 'Preserve scale' setting in the 'Adjust map appearance' window?

It may also be worth reviewing this blog post: https://www.esri.com/arcgis-blog/products/arcgis-storymaps/constituent-engagement/mapping-with-exten...

If the above doesn't help, I'd be interested to know whether the issue still occurs when using a map with a fresh simple polygon layer (including only a few polygons) in a new StoryMap.
