Hello everyone!
In the Sidecar function - if you have a lot of pages, the scroll will show the multiple page numbers with included headings. You can expanding the bar to page to individual sections on the Sidecar:
For the Map Tours - when there are a LOT of points, it would be useful to have something like this! Just have another way to quickly scroll to specific points.
Thank you!
@SaraJL - Guided tours are best for short tours (fewer than a dozen or so places) because the reader must scroll through each place sequentially. If you have more places than that, using one of the explorer tour layouts is usually a better fit since it provides the ability for your readers to jump around to different points more quickly.
@OwenGeo We do use those formats occasionally! The only downside with those, is that if you don't have an image or video to put in each slide, it will show up as a gray square on the published version:
For some of the projects that we have, users are creating a type of digital essay or journal, so some slides may just have text instead of an image.
The Map focussed format is the only one that removes the gray square if the user don't want to put media in the slide for some reason. Sometimes I'll have users just create an express map if they have a lot of points that may not have media in it, but the Map Tour is a lot easier for beginner users to setup!
I hope that makes sense!
