seamless on-offshore grid

Hi
I have bathymetry and on-land elevation data from which I would like to make a seamless on-offshore grid. I also have a vector coastline to which I would like to force the grid. How do I use the coastline as a break-line to force my grid to have 0 values along the coastline?

I have tried converting the coastline feature to a point feature with z = 0, then including it into my xyz file, but I still have areas where the + "land values" spills over into the sea.

Thanks for the reply.

I looked again at the data in the areas with problems, and I think the biggest problem is the density of the on land data in those areas.
