The documentation associated with every ArcGIS solution should come with more elaborate details on how they are configured to work with the the user's data. This should be done for every solution/application available. In other words, give an explanation for how the solution is set up to work with your data, that way it offers a starting off point to then customize and further configure data. Specifically, this documentation should focus on the widgets available including serial charts, selectors, etc.
ArcGIS Solutions are great tools, but not as intuitive as they are made out to be!
