Can you use Arc Mobile Data Collection with an Ipod Touch using Magellan GPS Case

Does anyone have experience using ArcGIS Mobile data collection on an ipod touch? I take it you need a gps add on accessory such as Magellan's tough case in order to collect data if it is possible. Thanks

Sorry, I don't know the answer to this. You might ask Magellan if their GPS acts as a native GPS, as if it were a GPS on the iPhone using Apple's native code. If the Magellan GPS acts as an external GPS I would guess it will not work.

Here was Magellan's response:
Toughcase can access satellite signal. It does not use Mac native codes.

So unfortunately it seems like this will not work although I am still skeptical.
