ArcGIS 9.31 GeometryService Length unit

Hi,

when I'm requesting the length by using the Geometry Service, the response is alway in miles.

In ArcGIS Server 10.1 it is possible to pass a unit. In ArcGIS Server 9.31 it is not possible. How could I configure this?

I'm passing as SR 102100 (Web Mercator). Isn't is based on a metric coordinate system?

-Is your result in miles OK?
-Is your ags 9.3.1 patched?
-Do you try another wkid with units meter for see if you have result in meters.
