Side by side mode not working

Side by side mode is not working on one of our tablets, a Huawei Media Pad T5. Side by side is enabled in project settings and works fine on other devices (e.g. samsung tablet). We are opening the project when the tablet is orientated in landscape so this is also not the issue. It is running the latest version of quickcapture and we've tried to create new projects from the templates to rule out any issues with old projects etc.

Any ideas why this might be?

QuickCapture may not recognize some tablet devices as tablets because of the screen size. We are working on adding an app setting to allow users to force split-screen display on tablet devices.

This would be very useful. We've tested with other "budget" tablets and have the same issue. Can only get side by side to work on samsung devices.
