Temporal data with "gaps"

Hi, everyone, I have a dataset of about 2000 archaeological sites for which time data is available and need to be displayed. These are stored in two fields, a start date and an end date, which mark the beginning and end of life at a particular site (for example a start date of 400 AD and an end date of 600 AD). In many cases, however, after a certain hiatus (e.g. about three centuries), life at the site revives (and later ends again), and the need arises to enter a new 'start' date (e.g. AD 900) as well as a new 'end' date (e.g. AD 1400). For now, I resolve the issue by artificially dividing the same archaeological site into two different sites ("early" and "late") with only a slight spatial difference from each other and partly different records, each reflecting one of two phases of occupation at the site, but I wonder if there is a more elegant way of achieving the goal and making only one record for one archaeological site with one or more "gaps" in the available temporal data?

P. S. I'm using ArcGIS Pro 3.0.0, if that's relevant.

Thank you in advance for your help!
