Symbology pane does not auto re-open when click on symbol?

Hello all!

I'm using Pro 2.9.3. I keep my panes on auto-hide so they are hidden along the right side of my window. When I click on a symbol in my Contents pane to change the symbology, my symbology pane does not open Every Time. It opens sometimes. Is the software thinking about something and therefore not opening that pane sometimes? Am I missing something? It is maddening.

oh my gosh..yes, the same. Sorry lol! You can tell it's still bothering me I guess! To the point of me forgetting I already went to the Community for this. Disregard this post 🙂
