Resize the name of label

Hi,

I would like to resize the name of some counties just like attached figure 2.

But I couldn't achieve it. I could just do figure 1.

Figure 2 generates the font size according to the area of the country.

Sure thing:

It's hidden away in the placement properties (how about calling it size and placement esri?)

Is this in ArcMap or Pro? there are several options to adjust the font size proportionally. Figure 2 is likely aided by proportional sized text, but almost certainly not solely by it, I am sure those are annotations.

Your label placement should be set to 'Land Parcel' or similar for this to take effect. This will of-course stop small island nations showing-up. A quick fix for this would be to duplicate the layer and use definition queries to filter the display, and adjust label properties accordingly. You could alternatively control the amount of over-run in the over-run properties.
