Greetings,
I am working with ArcGIS pro 2.6.0
I created Metadata for a number of layers, that I can view, when I select View Metadata.
However when I forward a file gdb to my colleagues, they cannot view the data. Could this be due to a file lock, or ??? All the icons are green, and w
e don't get any error message!!
It is really annoying to spend ages setting-up the Metadata, and it doesn't work as expected.
I would appreciate any pointers..
Regards,
Clive
However when I forward a file gdb to my colleagues...
Not sure what you mean by this. The meta data should follow the feature class it was assigned to.
Something occurred to me: What style of metadata did you create the metadata in? I wonder if your colleagues cannot see it because they have their metadata set to a different style....
Choosing a metadata style in Pro: https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/latest/help/metadata/view-and-edit-metadata.htm#ESRI_SECTION1_0FAB...
Choosing a metadata style in ArcMap (you can view that metadata in either ArcMap or Pro, GDBs are totally compatible): https://desktop.arcgis.com/en/arcmap/latest/manage-data/metadata/choosing-a-metadata-style.htm
