Help!

I was finally able to figure out how to add an AutoCAD file to ArcMap. The AutoCAD data has a projection that is based on a specific near by point which I got from the NGS Data Sheet for that point.

I now have the False_Northing value, False_Easting and Scale Factor too. However, it is WAY off from any .shp I add for that region. When I try to change the projection the data disappears on my map.

I'd like to change the projection to WGS_1984_UTM_Zone_5N.

Can someone help!

Hi, dealing with coordinate systems and CAD data can be very tricky. Do you know a defined coordinate system for your CAD data? Or is it kind of arbitrary? If it is somewhat based off of a point, you can georeference the entire CAD drawing to fit on that point. Here is an article explaining how to do that in ArcMap
