I am currently using ArcPro 3.0.0 to create multiple map layouts in the same project using the same layers for a few of the layouts.  I am trying to create my third layout which is a custom size of 42.5" x 44".  I didn't have this problem before but now when I try to add my map frame it is stuck on this continuous loading wheel.

I have closed out of Pro and reopened the project and even tried creating a copy of it with no success.  Is there anything else I can try or should I make a brand new project (something I am trying to avoid).

Hi GrantCountyGISSup,

You could be running to an issue where the insert map frame control is unable to populate the bitmaps for the preview. I unaware of any known issue like this. This may be specific to the maps and scenes you have in your project.

Without more information it would be difficult to adequately troubleshoot this. Can you contact Esri Support? They are better equipped to handle troubleshooting steps and gather bug data. They can be contacted at https://support.esri.com/en/contact-tech-support.

Thanks,

Tom

Hi, I've been experiencing the same issue. Did you ever find a fix?

Hi g_mcgowan,

I don't believe a bug was ever submitted.  I have not run across this issue as a bug (with reproducible steps provided by someone like yourself) or though my own testing. I cannot verify whether it is still an issue or not.

Please, can you contact Esri Support? They are better equipped to handle troubleshooting steps and gather bug data. They can be contacted at https://support.esri.com/en/contact-tech-support.

Thanks,

Tom

The solution was updating the MS access database - at least for one user. Not sure if these will resolve everyone's issue though.
