Labels of one feature drawing on top of Annotation Features
Hi,
I have a map series where I have highway shield labels placed automatically by the labeling engine but am manually creating annotation features to display using the page query. I have run into an instance where I can't place the annotation anywhere else on the road due (see image; also, I can't really change the viewable area), and the shield label won't move in spite of its conflict with the annotation and there being room just to the right of the annotation. The annotation feature class obviously doesn't have label properties so I can't set a feature weight, or at least I'm unaware of how to set its feature weight outside of the label properties window. I've tried using different values in the Conflict Resolution section of the highway layer I'm using to see if anything will change and no luck. I don't want to convert the shields to annotation. Are there any settings for the annotation feature class I'm missing that allow me to set a feature weight? What are my options?
