Issues with generate rectangles along line tool in Pro

When I create rectangles along a line using "generate rectangles along line" tool in Pro 2.2.4 the rectangles ID field does not start at the end of the polyline. Is there a setting to force the rectangles to follow the line? I have tried altering the "lower left, lower right, etc." with the same results. My ID #1 starts at a point in the line, ID # 8 & 9, at a different point in the line. They do seem to reflect my last edits to the polyline alignments. Any ideas?

The workaround;

Add a new field and enter a new ID based on the direction that the series (polygons) will flow. Not bad for a few sheets but it does add extra time to the process.

If anyone finds the right answer please let me know.
