Is anyone having constant crashes in ArcGIS Pro 3.6?

I can't figure out why nor can my IT team.  ArcGIS Pro crashes all the time, sometimes within a few minutes, sometimes longer in between times.  Simple projects and complex projects are crashing.  Projects with local files only, projects with sever based files only, and a mixture of both are crashing.  The Arc window will slide to the right and freeze, and will stay that way.  The only way I can get rid of it at that point is to 'End Task'.  This has happened countless times and I've only had 3.6 for a few weeks.  I'm doing nothing out of the ordinary, been doing the same type of mapping that I've done for years.  Can't figure it out.

Wish I could provide an idea or two, but my genuine advice is don't update unless you have to. The odds of you regretting the update are greater than the odds of you regretting that you're missing out on the new "enhancements and fixes" of the update (see this post as an example).

Good luck!

How To: Perform a Clean Uninstall and Reinstall of ArcGIS Pro

if that process still doesn't work, then contact Tech Support.  There have been no "solutions" posted in Community beyond, soft reset, complete reinstall or tech support, some or all of which can fail.

Good luck

A uninstall/reinstall has been done and it didn't solve the problem.  Others in my company aren't experiencing this, seems to only be me so far.

If a complete reinstall fails (aka all vestiges of Arc-Anything are removed),
that would leave Tech Support since they would have a far larger list of possible issues to compare against your machine/ your profile

Hi @MillionMap

Since 3.5 there have been a few people that find Pro will freeze or crash as soon as you copy anything.
Any operation the uses Ctrl-C or right click > Copy will initially see a short freeze and if you ignore it it will progressively get worse until you get a hard crash. This can be made to happen with no data open and just copying some text in a mapless layout.

We've also found that 3.6 starts to slow down and ultimately crash if you have an instance open for a long time. As far as I can tell it is not data complexity dependent.

Can you try to see if there is any particular operation that triggers it I'm your case?

Ive had these issues on a brand new PC, windows, Pr install so very unlikely to be a corrupted user profile etc.

What I've f9und to make life easier for some IT people is to build a PC instance  with Pro installed in a vanilla Windows instance using Hyper-V as is available with any Win 11 Pro license.

Being able to replicate it in there means Esri should be able to replicate your exact environment (Ive convinced our local reseller to use Hyper-V to replicate an issue I had.

The crashing never happens when it's open and in the background.  It occurs when I'm performing a task, any task.  I can't pinpoint the cause or the action that makes it crash.  I'm just going along, doing typical mapping things, could be literally any task, and poof!  There it goes again, freeze/crash.  Sometimes I can be in a project for a good part of the day and the crash will just randomly happen, sometimes I can only work in a project for a few minutes at a time.  Crash after crash after crash.  These can be projects that were created in the past that I may have to open and update, and these can be brand new projects with simple layers included.  All are crashing.
