Color Blind Color Palette - Pro

Does anyone which color palettes are color blind friendly in Pro? Thanks

Styles

• New color schemes have been added to the ArcGIS Colors system style.
  • A new scientific color scheme named cividis has been added. Cividis is perceptually uniform in hue and brightness, increasing in brightness linearly. It was designed specifically for those with color vision deficiency. For more information about this color scheme, see https://journals.plos.org/plosone/article?id=10.1371/journal.pone.0199239.The new cividis scientific color scheme is for better color blind readability.

Now, make sure you click on the drop down to see the colors and check on Show Names and Show All

Hello Chad, 

One of the system styles included in the installation of ArcGIS Pro is called ColorBrewer Schemes (RGB). The schemes in it that are color blind friendly are tagged as such. When you review this style in a Catalog view, you can search on "color blind", and those schemes will be returned. 

To search, open the style in a Catalog view, ensure the Details Panel is open (View tab, Options group), and enter your search in the bar at the top of the Details Panel. 

Also included in the installation is a CMYK version of these schemes. If you need to work in CMYK instead, add this style: Insert tab, Styles group  > Add > Add System Style > Expand Colors and Color Schemes > check the CMYK style.

Hi Edie,

Is there any way to see the tags ("color blind safe") when searching through the actual symbology pane color scheme dropdown? It would be very helpful to not have to switch back to catalog window > styles in order to see tags every time you want to apply a color scheme to your symbology. Perhaps to show the tags when you hover over the color in the color schemes drop down. Thanks.

For those like me who are visual and get easily lost in the mayhem that is Pro sometimes, here is WHERE you can find what you are looking for:

1) Open Catalog View 

2) It opens automatically on Project view. You need to change that for "Styles"

3) Double click ColorBrewer Scheme

4) ONLY THEN you can manage to use the search bar for color blind safe tags (or if you use French like me, "Spécial pour daltonien")
