ArcPro not notifying me of changes made to a Web Map on Arc Online/Storymap

Im putting together a storymap but not getting notifications in arcpro when I make changes to features. I will share a web layer and it will link to my arcgis and allow me to add the layer, but then I will edit, say change line width and color, and save but will not get the notification in arcpro to accept/deny changes. I am on the newest version of arcpro.

@JordanHedlund -- I'm not sure this workflow has much to do with ArcGIS StoryMaps, so I'm not really sure how to help. I'll move this thread to the ArcGIS Pro question board in hopes that you'll get people who are more familiar with this workflow to see your question.
