I am using Pro version 3.4.3., and I have several projects on the go at the moment. The main problem I'm having is that whenever I try to open another project, or just close the project I am using, ArcGIS Pro just crashes and I can only close the program in task manager. Also, when I am in a project the "backup in progress" message appears A LOT and I have to pause work while it processes. Overall, ArcGIS is also running quite slowly and making even simple tasks take a long time. There is nothing wrong with my PC setup and all other software I have is working fine, this problem is definitely within Arc itself. This problem is happening with all my projects, old and new.
I have repaired the software within Windows but this didn't help. Any advice would be appreciated.

Hi, thanks for the advice. Please excuse the ignorant question, does a soft reset wipe any important data (e.g. layers, custom toolboxes) from my projects?
It doesn't do anything to the projects since they aren't being touched. Besides "renaming" something means that it will be untouched and a new requirement (eg registry name) will be created

Is your project on your C: drive or a network drive? Do you have any custom toolboxes with models or python scripts?
Hi, my projects are on C: drive, definitely not on a network drive! And I do have one custom toolbox with one script in it but nothing major.
