ArcGIS Pro 2.7.2: How to remove an environment in “the manager environments” of “python package manager” that’s labeled as “the environment can’t be removed, it is required for ArcGIS Pro.”,

I couldn’t figure out how to remove an environment in “the manager environments” of “python package manager” that’s labeled as “the environment can’t be removed, it is required for ArcGIS Pro.”.

Hi Jamal, The environment cannot be removed because it is currently active. You will need to make a different environment active by clicking the radio button in the Active column. When doing this, ArcGIS Pro will give a message: "Restart ArcGIS Pro for your environment changes to take effect.". Once you have restarted ArcGIS Pro, that original environment (arcgispro-py3-clone1) can be removed.

Activate the main environment (at the top), then you can remove a clone

Many thanks guys. Setting another environment to be “active” enables deleting the target one
