I'm using the APPLY SYMBOLOGY FROM LAYER tool in batch mode. The Input Layers are feature layers (shapefiles) in 2 Group Layers. The Symbology Layer is saved in a separate folder, but is a valid file that works in this project and others.
When RUN, the batch process seems to work but only the last layer in the list is changed.
Any insights?
Thanks a heap.

ESRI chat tech help indicates that this "is a known issue" in ArcGIS Pro. A search of archives indicates that it was a known issue in 2018. So it's a pretty well known issue.
The workaround is to DISABLE BACKGROUND GEOPROCESSING. But there is no way to do so.
Thanks a heap.

What release of ArcGIS Pro are you using? There was BUG-000115328 - "Batch Apply Symbology From Layer only applies symbology to one layer in the list" but this was fixed at 2.3
Thanks for reply. I have version 3.4.2. All the feature layers I'm using work fine in other projects, including the batch input layers and symbology layer. The symbology layer is a *.lyrx file.

I wonder if it's a corrupt *.aprx? Can you create a new project, add a new map view, then add the layers in question and finally use the Apply Symbology from Layer workflow (in batch mode) to see if it works as expected?
Thanks again. I did all the steps, same result: Only the last layer is changed. I tried running the tool in batch mode using both an external symbology layer (*.lyrx) and the same layer from withing the new project.
