Aerial Imagery 3 band to composit

I am trying to import a large .tif aerial image into ARCGIS Pro. I get all 3 bands to import, but it's black and white. How to use the composite tool to make the composite a color image? The tool has a red x and won't let me write to a new file - but it doesn't show what the error is? I have write abilities to my onedrive.

If it is an aerial photo or equivalent, have you just tried adding it to an open map (for example navigate to the folder containing it in Catalog and add it from there)

If it something else, what type of raster is it besides a *.tif (band type integer? range of values? etc)
